How to make Skillet Chocolate Cake

This skillet chocolate cake is perfect for a quick and hassle-free treat. You don’t need to go to a nearby restaurant or nearby food place. Here you find Pretty food, Meal prep and without having to buy online cooking classes.

Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons chocolate drink powder
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 50 ml oil (1.7 fl oz)
  • 50 ml milk (1.7 fl oz)
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder (0.42 oz / 12g)

Directions:

Mixing the Liquid Ingredients:
First, in a bowl, crack the eggs and add the sugar. Using a hand whisk, mix well until you achieve a smooth consistency.

Then, pour in the oil and milk, stirring continuously to fully combine all the liquids.

Incorporating the Dry Ingredients:
Next, gradually add the chocolate powder while stirring constantly.

After that, slowly incorporate the flour, mixing continuously until the batter becomes smooth and free of lumps.

Adding the Baking Powder:
Finally, add the baking powder and gently mix until it is fully dissolved into the batter.

Cooking in the Skillet:
Grease a non-stick skillet with a little butter, margarine, or oil.

Then, pour the batter into the skillet and cover with a lid.

After that, place it on the stove and cook over very low heat. If needed, use an additional rack to prevent the bottom from burning, or place a baking tray underneath as a heat insulator.

To finish, let it cook slowly until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, indicating the cake is fully baked.

Tips:

  • Heat Control: Keeping the heat low is crucial to avoid burning the cake. Using a rack or tray underneath can help distribute the heat more evenly.
  • Variations: Feel free to add nuts, chocolate chunks, or dried fruits to the batter for an extra touch of flavor.
  • Serving: This cake is delicious both warm and cold. Serve with your preferred topping, such as chocolate syrup, heavy cream, or simply dusted with powdered sugar.
