Ingredients:
Caramel:
- Half a cup of water
- 1 cup of sugar
Flan:
- 300 ml of milk
- 1 small box of cream
- 1 can of dulce de leche
- 1 envelope of unflavored gelatin
- 5 tablespoons of water for hydrating the gelatin
Preparation:
In a saucepan over low heat, add the sugar and let it melt until it becomes a golden syrup. Carefully add the water, stir until the sugar crystals dissolve, and you get a shiny caramel.
Caramelize a ring-shaped mold and set it aside.
Flan Preparation:
Start by hydrating the unflavored gelatin according to the instructions on the package.
In a blender, combine the milk, cream, dulce de leche, and the dissolved gelatin for about 3 minutes, until you have a fluffy and homogeneous mixture.
Pour this mixture into the caramelized mold, cover it with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for approximately 3 hours.
Finally, take it out of the fridge, remove it from the mold, and it’s ready to serve.
