How to make Homemade Soft Dough Bread
If you’re looking for a light and fluffy homemade bread, this recipe is perfect for you. You don’t need to go to a nearby restaurant or nearby food place. Here you find Pretty food, Meal prep and without having to buy online cooking classes.
Ingredients:
- 1 egg (about 2 oz / 57g)
- 3 tablespoons sugar (1.3 oz / 38g)
- 1/2 coffee spoon salt (1g)
- 1/2 cup warm milk (4 fl oz / 120ml)
- 1/2 cup water (4 fl oz / 120ml)
- 1/2 cup oil (4 fl oz / 120ml)
- 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (14.1 oz / 400g)
- 1 tablespoon dry yeast (0.35 oz / 10g)
- 1 egg yolk + 2 tablespoons cold milk (for brushing)
Directions:
This recipe can be made by hand, in a blender, or using a stand mixer.
First, in a bowl, add the sugar, yeast, and warm milk, stirring well until fully dissolved.
Then, add the egg and mix again. Next, pour in the oil, room-temperature water, and salt, stirring until well combined.
After that, gradually add the flour while continuously mixing to prevent lumps.
Tip: The dough should be soft but not runny.
Next, grease a baking pan with butter and sprinkle it with flour to prevent sticking.
Right after, pour all the dough into the pan and use a spoon to spread it evenly.
Tip: If the dough is too sticky, wet the spoon to make spreading easier.
Afterward, cover the pan with a clean kitchen towel and let the dough rest for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
Tip: Do not let the dough rise past the edge of the pan, as it will continue to expand in the oven.
To finish, mix one egg yolk with three tablespoons of cold milk and brush it over the bread.
Finally, bake in a preheated oven at 356 °F (180 °C) for approximately 40 to 45 minutes.
Tip: Baking time may vary depending on the size and height of your pan, so check the dough halfway through baking.
Once the bread is golden brown on top, remove it from the oven and carefully unmold.
