Ingredients:
- 1/3 cup light corn syrup (80 ml)
- 5 tablespoons softened butter (70 g)
- 1 ½ teaspoons mint extract (7.5 ml)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (2.5 g)
- Green food coloring, a few drops (adjust as needed)
- 4–5 cups powdered sugar (480–600 g)
- 10 oz chocolate candy coating (283 g)
Directions:
In a medium bowl, mix the corn syrup, softened butter, mint extract, salt, and green food coloring until smooth and well combined.
Add the powdered sugar gradually, about 1 cup at a time, stirring until the mixture becomes thick.
Continue adding powdered sugar and knead the mixture by hand until it no longer sticks, adding more sugar if needed.
Shape the dough into 1-inch balls (2.5 cm) and place them on baking sheets lined with waxed paper.
Flatten each ball using the bottom of a glass or your hand.
Cover with another sheet of waxed paper and refrigerate for 60–90 minutes until firm.
Melt the chocolate candy coating following the package instructions.
Using a fork, dip each patty into the melted chocolate, tap off the excess, and return it to the waxed paper.
Repeat until all patties are coated.
Let the chocolate set completely before storing in an airtight container.
If desired, freeze the patties in single layers separated by waxed paper.
