- 2/3 cup warm 2% milk (110° to 115°)
- 1 large egg, room temperature
- 1/4 to 1/3 cup canola oil

- 1 large egg yolk
- 2 tablespoons 2% milk
Directions
To begin, start by dissolving the yeast in warm water using a small bowl. In a food processor, mix together the flour, sugar, 2 teaspoons of rosemary, and salt until thoroughly combined. Then add the warm milk, egg, and yeast mixture. Cover the processor and pulse the ingredients around 10 times or until they are nearly mixed together.
Continuing to process the mixture, gradually add the oil until the dough begins to pull away from the sides and forms into a cohesive ball. Process for an additional 2 minutes to knead the dough; it should be quite soft.
Next, transfer the dough into a greased bowl, making sure to coat the top with grease as well. Cover the bowl and allow the dough to rise in a warm area until it has doubled in size, which typically takes about 1 hour.
Once the dough has risen, gently punch it down and place it onto a lightly floured surface. Divide and shape the dough into 12 equal-sized balls. Roll each ball into a 15-inch rope, then loosely coil the rope around itself, tucking the end underneath and pinching it to seal.
Arrange the coiled dough on greased baking sheets, leaving about 2 inches of space between each coil. Cover them and let them rise again until doubled in size, approximately 30 minutes.
For the egg wash, whisk together the egg yolk and milk in a small bowl. Brush this mixture over the risen rolls, then sprinkle the remaining rosemary on top.
