How to Make Dulce De Leche

Learn how to prepare for sweet recipe step-by-step recipes inspired by top online culinary schools. Whether you’re an aspiring chef or just love gourmet cooking at home, these professional recipe ideas are perfect for busy days and high-quality meals.

Recipe Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 liters (8 ½ cups) milk
  • 2 ½ cups sugar

Instructions:

In a small saucepan, add the milk and heat over medium until it reaches a boil. Turn off the heat and set aside.

In a separate saucepan, add the sugar and heat over low, stirring constantly, until it turns into a smooth, glossy caramel.

Gradually add the hot milk to the caramel, stirring after each addition to fully dissolve the sugar and create a smooth, homogeneous mixture.

Dissolve the cornstarch in a bit of milk and add it to the saucepan. Stir well and continue to cook until the mixture begins to boil and thickens.

Cook until you can see the bottom of the pan while stirring. Remove from heat, allow it to cool, and it’s ready to serve.
