How to make Buttery guava cookie

Ingredients:
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 egg yolk
- 7 ounces (about 1 cup) unsalted margarine or butter (200 grams)
- Granulated sugar for coating the baked cookies
- Guava paste cut into small pieces
Directions:
First, combine the butter or margarine, egg yolk and sugar in a bowl, mixing well until it forms a smooth paste.
Then add the wheat flour and mix vigorously with your hands until you get a smooth, even dough that doesn’t stick to your fingers.
Next, take small portions of the dough, shape them into balls, flatten them slightly and place them on a previously greased and floured baking sheet. Repeat the process with all the dough.
Then place a small piece of guava in the center of each flattened ball and bake in a preheated oven at 356 °F (180 °C) for approximately 25 minutes.
Finally, take them out of the oven, let them cool on a wire rack and then roll them in caster sugar. Store in a sealed container.
Serve these delicious buttery cookies with guava afterwards!
