How to make sirloin steak thighs with gravy
An incredible and easy recipe for your dinner party. Remember that we’re going to start by listing all the ingredients, so start by separating out all the ingredients and then the complete preparation method.
Ingredients:
- 4 beef steaks (such as sirloin or ribeye), about 6 ounces each
- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
Season the beef steaks on both sides with salt and black pepper. Set them aside.
In a large skillet or frying pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
Add the sliced onions and sauté for about 5-7 minutes, or until they become translucent and start to caramelize.
Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant.
Push the onions and garlic to the sides of the pan, making room in the center. Place the seasoned beef steaks in the center of the pan.
Sear the steaks for approximately 3-4 minutes on each side, or to your preferred level of doneness. For medium-rare, aim for an internal temperature of 135°F (57°C).
Remove the cooked steaks from the pan and transfer them to a plate. Cover them with aluminum foil to keep warm.
In the same pan with the onions and garlic, add the beef broth, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir well to combine and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
Let the sauce simmer for about 5 minutes, or until it reduces and thickens slightly.
Return the cooked steaks to the pan, coating them with the onion and sauce mixture. Allow them to heat through for another 2-3 minutes.
Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning with salt and black pepper, if needed.
Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired.
Serve your Onion Steak (Bife Acebolado) hot with the onion and sauce mixture generously spooned over the top.
