Recipe ingredients:
- 3 cans of sweet corn, drained (or 3 fresh ears of corn, kernels removed)
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 4 cups of milk
- 14 oz of sweetened condensed milk (approx. 13.9 oz converted from 395 g)
Instructions:
Add the drained sweet corn and the milk to a blender. Blend on high speed for about 2 minutes, until completely smooth. Strain the mixture through a fine sieve, discard the solids, and pour the liquid into a saucepan.
In a small cup, dissolve the cornstarch in 2 tablespoons of water. Add this mixture to the saucepan. Then pour in the sweetened condensed milk and stir well. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it begins to boil. Reduce the heat and continue stirring for about 15 minutes, until thick and creamy.
Transfer the custard to a glass dish, let it cool, sprinkle cinnamon on top (optional), and serve.
Tips:
- For a richer flavor, add a splash of vanilla extract after cooking.
- If you prefer a sweeter dessert, stir in 1–2 tablespoons of sugar while cooking.
