Fresh coffee and this cake make the perfect pair for a break or a relaxing snack. See below the list of all ingredients and required quantities. You don’t need to go to a nearby restaurant or nearby food place. Here you find Pretty food, Meal prep and without having to buy online cooking classes.
Ingredients:
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/4 cups cornmeal (10.6 oz / 300ml)
- 1 1/4 cups sugar (10.6 oz / 300ml)
- 1 can of corn, drained (about 7 oz / 200g)
- 2/3 cup vegetable oil (5 fl oz / 150ml)
- 1 tablespoon baking powder (0.5 oz / 15g)
- 2/3 cup milk (5 fl oz / 150ml)
- 3 tablespoons Brazilian cream cheese (requeijão)
Directions:
First, add the corn, eggs, cornmeal, sugar, oil, milk, and cream cheese to a blender. Blend well until you get a smooth and creamy batter.
Then, add the baking powder and blend briefly, just enough to mix it in.
Next, grease a glass baking dish with margarine. If you prefer, you can also sprinkle a little all-purpose flour to help prevent sticking.
After that, pour the batter into the glass baking dish and place it in a preheated oven at 356 °F (180 °C).
Then, bake for about 30 minutes, or until the top is golden and the cake feels firm to the touch.
Afterwards, remove it from the oven and let it cool slightly.
Finally, carefully remove the cake from the dish and serve.
