- ½ cup milk
- ¼ cup water
- 2 cups all-purpose flour, divided, or as needed
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons white sugar
- 1 (.25 ounce) envelope Fleischmann’s® RapidRise Yeast
- ½ teaspoon salt
Directions
First, in a large bowl, combine the sugar, 3/4 cup of flour, the undissolved yeast and the salt. Mix well.
Then, in a saucepan, heat the milk, water and 2 tablespoons of butter until very hot (120 to 130 degrees F).
Then add the hot milk mixture to the flour mixture and beat for 2 minutes at medium speed of the mixer, scraping the bowl from time to time. Now add 1/4 cup of flour and beat for another 2 minutes at high speed.
Then gradually add enough of the remaining flour to form a soft dough and mix well.
Then knead the dough on a lightly floured surface until smooth and elastic, about 8 to 10 minutes. Now cover the dough and leave it to rest for 10 minutes.
Next, divide the dough into 12 pieces and form a ball with each piece. Now place the balls in a greased 8-inch round cake pan, cover, and let the dough rise in a warm place until it doubles in size, approximately 30 minutes.
So now preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Finally, we’ll bake the rolls in the preheated oven until they’re golden brown on top, which should take about 20 minutes.
